We are proud to provide potentially life saving services to help responsible horse owners keep and care for their horses.

With so many unwanted horses in the area, we do our part to find new homes for horses that need them through our adoption program. All of our horses are cared for and vetted by our knowledgeable team of experts.

We maintain a supply of blankets to help owners in our community that may need an extra horse blanket for the colder months.

We provide short-term emergency assistance to responsible owners who are facing financial, medical, or other crises that affects their ability to provide for their horse. We can help with feed, veterinary services, farrier fees, and more. Call (828) 683-0160 for assistance.

Hope for Horses provides counsel, education, and assistance to WNC Animal Control Officers in their efforts to assess and care for abused, abandoned and neglected equines.

We share courtesy postings on behalf of owners seeking to rehome their horses. These horses are not cared for by Hope for Horses and all questions and rehoming arrangements must go through the current horse owner.
