About Hope for Horses
Our Mission
To improve quality of life and end suffering for at-risk horses in WNC
Our Vision
For all horses to live out their lives with dignity in safe and enriching homes
Hope for Horses was established to find quality homes for the many unwanted, neglected, and abused horses in our area.
In addition to this primary goal, we also provide sanctuary for equines that cannot be adopted due to health, behavioral, or other reasons.
Hope for Horses is committed providing education resources and services to help responsible horse owners keep and care for their horses.
Our Values
Every horse has the right to experience humane lifetime care
Appreciate the benefits of the human/horse bond
Alleviate suffering in horses
Help to keep horses in their homes, or when necessary, facilitate transitions to safe and suitable homes
Promote quality horsemanship and husbandry through education
Raise awareness of the unsustainable unwanted horse population
Hope for Horses is a 501(c)3 non-profit and was founded in 1999 by dedicated horse lovers. Our current team carries the mission forward every day.
