An Unlikely Hero

While most 7-year-olds offer up mile-long wish lists for what they want for their birthday —a gift card from The Limited Too, a new Ipod — Katie Fisher made an unlikely request to her friends and family. Instead of gifts, she asked that people give money to donate to Hope for Horses because, "I wanted to help," she said.

"She loves horses," says Lissa Boatright, volunteer coordinator for Hope for Horses. "She and her father came out on Open Farm Day to present the money raised."

Her generosity and selflessness are examples we can all find inspiring! Katie shows us that heroes for horses can come in all sizes.
